In India 3g is yet to be launched and so even if you bought iPhone3g you are forced to use it on GPRS. But, still if you kept 3G enabled in your iPhone it will drain out your batteries like anything. Apple claims that you will get 5 hours of talk time if you are using it with 3G enabled. So, once you switch 3G off, you can get  almost 10 hours of talk time.

Here is step by step procedure to get it done :

In Home screen, tap Settings and then tap General:

Tap on Network, and on top you will be able to see a slider for Enable 3G. Set if off and you are done.

Follow the same procedure to set 3G on.

Earthscape Basic is the world’s first virtual globe application for mobile devices — available now for the iPhone, iPhone 3G, and iPod Touch. Currently entire United States can be viewed in detail, usually comparable or slightly better than current desktop solutions.

Imagery outside of the United States is currently limited to 15 meter resolution — enough to discern major roads, but not houses. Atlast a sneak peak on the Last.fm v2.0 app for iPhone. Leaked Video gives out a lot of information, on what is in store for users. You can type tags like artist’s name,music genre or literally anything you want and you will be able to hear music based on those tags.

One of the coolest feature is that you can find whole lot of information about the artist you are listening to, like his/her concert schedules and dates. And you will be able to add those dates to your calendar in iPhone :-) . There is much more, find it out in the video below:
