After months of wait Google finally released their Google Latitude features in form of a web app for mobile devices including iPhone.

Google Latitude is basically a new feature in google maps where you will be able to see your friends on the map, where they are, and send them instant msgs or email. To access Google Latitude just type google.com/latitude into your iPhone browser and let the magic begin.

Below video will explain more about google latitude.

You have to give a try to the Leds app, which is from the MusiGames studios which are famous for their music genre of gaming apps. And leds is another great offering from them.

led_iphone

In leds you have to read letters through a scrolling led in your screen and make words out of it, and that is how you earn the points. What makes leds work is that first you have to keep your eyes perfectly focussed on the scrolling LED to keep track of the letters and then you should also be fast enough to form word out of those letters to make you some points.

And as the level grows the display area where the letters are shown gets thinner and thinner making it more challenging to play.

Here is video of the game, which will show what I am talking about :

Features of the game :

  • 90 levels
  • More than 700 words
  • Themes: airport, school, hospital, highway, food court and stadium.

Its clear that Leds is not just another game in the app store which you can play casually, it requires good amount of attention :-) .

There are 2 version of leds available in the app store :

Lite Version which is free and you can download it from the iTunes App Store Link.

Full version which costs $0.99 and you can buy it from the iTunes App Store Link.

12 seconds has been touted as twitter for video from pretty long time where you can record 12 seconds video and share with your friends. And they were having a iPhone app from a long time too but it was not fully utilised as iPhone’s were not having video recording capabilities.

But now as things have changed with iPhone 3GS, 12 seconds is coming up with a new improved app soon.

12seconds_iphone

Using the app you can record videos of upto 12 seconds and it will automatically uploaded to your 12 seconds accounts and you can even send the video links to your friends on twitter, which the app generates automatically. Pretty neat stuff there.

12 seconds iPhone app will be released shortly and I will update as soon as it comes out.

If you are using Direct TV iPhone app and are fan of American football then you are in luck. Direct TV app will stream the live video of the upcoming season of NFL.

Users will be able to watch it on iPhone using either 3G or WiFi. But all the fun is not coming cheap.

To use the app you have to :

1. To be a DirecTV satellite TV subscriber.
2. Take the $280 NFL Sunday Ticket subscription.
3. Take the $100 Sunday Ticket “SuperFan” subscription.

Although the app is free and if you are already subscribed to all the above services then you are good to go :-) .

Wow its been almost a wild week, I have been trying to get hold of some one who can actually confirm some details on the iPhone 3GS launch date and prices in India. So, here are the details I could gather till now. Please don’t take them as written on a stone, it may vary but its unlikely.

Airtel 3GS Prices

Rs. 32000 For 16GB Version

Rs 39000 For 32GB Version

Vodafone 3GS Prices

Rs. 30500 For 16GB Version

Rs. 37000 For 32GB Version

Launch Date

9th August – Airtel and Probably It will be same for vodafone as well not confirmed though.

iPhone 3G Prices Decreasing?

One thing to note here and I can comment on Vodafone is that, they may decreasing the existing iPhone 3G prices to about Rs 5000-Rs 4000 or so. Probably to clear out their stocks. So, iPhone 3G may land up in a Rs 22-23k price range which is juicy enough to attract people.

Guys and Gals the era of iPhone dominating the Indian market is starting :-) . Will add more details as they come.
