Apple Bans Developers For No More Jailbreak Apps

Apple is leaving no stoned unturned to curb the jailbreaking app world, they are also trying to make it illegal and working hard towards it. And to add more content to their battle, Apple is added new terms in the iPhone SDK agreement which forbids developers to jailbreak their iPhone and making jailbreaked apps as well.

Take a look at the terms they added to the agreement :

e)You will not, through use of the Apple Software, services or otherwise, create any Application or other program that would disable, hack or otherwise interfere with the Security Solution, or any security, digital signing, digital rights management, verification or authentication mechanisms implemented in or by the iPhone operating system software, iPod touch operating system software, this Apple Software, any services or other Apple software or technology, or enable others to do so; and

(f) Applications developed using the Apple Software may only be distributed if selected by Apple (in its sole discretion) for distribution via the App Store or for limited distribution on Registered Devices (ad hoc distribution) as contemplated in this Agreement.

As we have mentioned earlier also, we are in full support of jailbreaking and always will be. Jailbreaked apps gave us the features which should have been released 2 years back and which Apple realized now in the iPhone 3.0 OS. We just hope this new stunt by Apple doesn’t trouble the Jailbreaking community.

  1. that announcement dont mean anything, just means apple have been caught trying to add a patent with a jailbroken phone, and are very embarrased and going on the defensive.

as soon as 3.0 comes out, im jailbreaking it, and if i knew how to make apps id make apps for jailbroken phones too!!! apple as a company have no idea what they are up against.
