Apple To Buy Twitter?

Twitter is one of the hottest property in the Internet world and its been chased by big corporations like Microsoft, Google, Facebook. But now we have a new player bidding for Twitter and its Apple, who as reported by valleywag is in pretty serious talks with Twitter to close the deal for around $700 million.

A source who’s plugged into the Valley’s deal scene and has been recruited by Apple for a senior position says Apple and Twitter are in serious negotiations, with the goal of unveiling a deal by June 8,
when Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference launches in San Jose.

So iPhone owners should be happy with the Apple acquiring Twitter? Well to be honest I am not sure what Apple is thinking of doing with Twitter as only connection which can be seen between Apple and Twitter is that iTunes App Store is clogged with best selling twitter apps.
