Gameloft has just released a trailer for their upcoming Real Golf 2011 app. From the looks of it, the app looks impressive. The app will coming out this September, will update when it comes out, in the mean time do enjoy the trailer video :

Got a mail from Chillingo stating that they have partnered with Fox Entertainment to bring the “Predators” game to iPhone, iPod and iPad.

“The PREDATORS franchise is among the world’s most popular sci-fi brands and Chillingo is delighted to bring its adrenaline-packed excitement to the Apple App Store,” explains Johnny Coghlan, Head of Publishing, Chillingo. “The film’s fast-paced, suspenseful action provides the perfect environment for thrilling gameplay design.”

The game trailer is embedded below :

As you can see the game looks amazing and I can’t wait to play it either. But game release date is not yet shared but we may have to wait for quite a while to get our hands on the game. Will keep track of news surrounding the game and will share accordingly.

Apple doesn’t have much liking for 3rd party browsers in their app store. Recently Opera did succeed in getting their browser application approved which saw 1 million downloads in 24hrs. Now will other companies will go forward and introduce their browser based apps for iPhone I am not sure. But Mozilla is working on something to bring the firefox experience to your iPhone.

And its called “Firefox Home” . Its not a browser app, what it does is bringing all your browsing history, bookmarks, open tabs from desktop version to iPhone. Also, you can do some offline browsing with it.

Firefox Home In Action Below :

If you love firefox then this app will impress you.

https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/firefoxhome is the place where one can check out all about the app and development process. There is no exact date of its release the app but it won’t be much far. So, stay tuned.

Payment processing on iPhone seems to be the next big thing. There was Square and now its Payware(there are many other players as well). Both cater to the mobile payment processing for individuals or small business. So basically using the Payware app and its card reader you get to accept payments on the go.

Long list of features from App Description :

- Remarkably easy to use
- Swipe a card and a tone tells you the fully encrypted data was accepted
- Push a button to capture the signature
- Push another to add a tip to the bill
- Push one more to finalize the sale
- Want to email the receipt? Click. Done.
- At any time, review previous transactions, check daily summaries, even view a map showing where transactions took place
- PA DSS 1.2 validated (the definitive data standard for software vendors that develop payment applications)
- Being tough is important in card readers, and this unit certainly is
- The PAYware Mobile card encryption sleeve is the only mobile product with patented end-to-end encryption
- The moment the card is swiped, data is encrypted and stays that way until its processed by our gateway
- The phone never sees, nor does it store, any sensitive data
- The reader fits any iPhone 3G or 3GS model
- And because it’s portable, you’ll reduce costs by making more “card present” sales
- The design is sturdy and compact, so it’s not only built to survive, but to perform flawlessly
- Comes with a built-in stylus for signature capture
- Secures customer data and significantly reduces liability risks for your business

- Whether you have one iPhone or ten, PAYware Connect can consolidate all your payments into a single portal
- Details of all iPhone transactions are available in real-time

Both the app and card reading accessory are free for if you sign up for 2 year time span with them. Well you do have to pay the $49 activation fee, so its doesn’t seem to fit in the free bracket. Anyways for people having reasons to accept payment while on move, this seems to be a decent bet. More info on the app can be found on Payware official website and app can be downloaded from the iTunes App store link.
