DemoGod is a utility which lets you share your iPhone screen live on MAC display over Wifi. So, if you want to do some iPhone app demonstration or just want to see your iPhone display on a big screen this is a app for you. And please note that no cables are needed as the data is transferred over Wifi.
To use this software, you need to have installed ScreenSplitr on your jailbroken iPhone Next, just grab a copy of DemoGod and launch it on your Mac. DemoGod automatically searches for pairable devices, and ScreenSplitr must be running for this to work. Just select your device from DemoGod, accept the connection on your iPhone, and your data starts broadcasting to your Mac.
Here is the video of the app in action :
You will need a jailbreaked iPhone to get all this done. Demogod is available for free to download on the developer website.
iPhone Dev Team is back with a another treat for all, they have jailbreaked the newly released iPhone OS 3.0. But they will not be releasing the Jailbreak until the iPhone 3.0 is officially released in June, Reasons being:
1. We don’t want to have to release a new version of PwnageTool and QuickPwn for every beta release. Last time around during the 2.0 beta period, there were nine (9!) Apple releases, spaced within a few weeks of each other.
2. There are unresolved problems that we’re still working on. It’s currently impossible to get the 3.0 firmware to talk to baseband 02.28 where yellowsn0w lives, for instance.
3. We don’t want to have to support everyone who wants to back down from the betas…because the betas are, well, buggy.
4. It’s silly to play cat&mouse with Apple during a beta period, when relatively few people are willing to actually use the beta software in their everyday lives. There are ways Apple can tighten the screws, and we’d rather not burn methods just for a beta release.
So iPhone users can be rest assured that QuickPwn will be available as soon as the iPhone 3.0 releases and yes they are also working on unlock as well. So, we don’t have to worry at all .
Apple is leaving no stoned unturned to curb the jailbreaking app world, they are also trying to make it illegal and working hard towards it. And to add more content to their battle, Apple is added new terms in the iPhone SDK agreement which forbids developers to jailbreak their iPhone and making jailbreaked apps as well.
Take a look at the terms they added to the agreement :
e)You will not, through use of the Apple Software, services or otherwise, create any Application or other program that would disable, hack or otherwise interfere with the Security Solution, or any security, digital signing, digital rights management, verification or authentication mechanisms implemented in or by the iPhone operating system software, iPod touch operating system software, this Apple Software, any services or other Apple software or technology, or enable others to do so; and
(f) Applications developed using the Apple Software may only be distributed if selected by Apple (in its sole discretion) for distribution via the App Store or for limited distribution on Registered Devices (ad hoc distribution) as contemplated in this Agreement.
As we have mentioned earlier also, we are in full support of jailbreaking and always will be. Jailbreaked apps gave us the features which should have been released 2 years back and which Apple realized now in the iPhone 3.0 OS. We just hope this new stunt by Apple doesn’t trouble the Jailbreaking community.
