One thing I miss in iPhone the most is bluetooth data sharing with my friends. Really dont understand why Apple kept this feature away. Anyways time will be changing in near future.
The guys from ibluetoothproject.tk are making significant progress to bring bluetooth data sharing to iPhone.
They recently released a teaser app called “bluesn0w” which performs a 10 second scan for near-by bluetooth devices and displays each of their MAC addresses.
Some details about the app :
Final app deets:
1. Ultimately this application will probably be Free and Open Source,
2. It obviously will look a lot more flashy, with a clean and easy to use GUI,
3. (We think) the app will be able to complete your wildest dreams. (Nothing in the ‘requests’ section I don’t see cannot be done for the most part!)
4. Did I hear something about Bluetooth Super Hack? You can bet your bottom dollar we’re working on it!
5. The MAC address can be spoofed, and we will possible add this ability to the final release.
Above is the pic of upcoming mod for iPhone which will make it as a complete gaming device. The gamepad(iControlPad) is still under construction, but here few questions answered by iControlPad team, which give out more on the features.
Yes the headphone port will be easy to access.
Yes we will make a version for the iTouch (and maybe some other devices too).
Yes (currently) you will need to be running Jailbreak.
Yes we have applied for a patent.
Yes we intend to send these to any developer who requests one, so don’t worry hundreds of apps will have support for it.
The price will be low, probably under $30, but the quality will be high to match the iPhone.
We are making it as small and comfortable as we can, we are gamers and have already made control pads in the past, so it should be cool.
The iControlPad (iPhone version) should be shipping in July.
Below is the pic of the latest development in iControlPad, basically the gamepad will look like this and will be painted in black.
iControlPad launch will really create ripples in the iPhone gaming throughout the world, we will update you once its out.
Finally, its done, people who have waited so long to get their iPhone 3G unlocked are in for a treat. iPhone dev team finally completed the task and they are now in the process of packaging the unlocking in user friendly apps PwnageTool and QuickPwn
Here are the few major part of the post done by iPhone Dev Team
The target release date for the unlock is New Year’s Eve 2008.
This unlock method is available to iPhone 3Gs that have 2.11.07 baseband or earlier.
It seems that the recent iPhone 2.2 update, had some hidden features in it, one of which is Tv-Out. Which means you can post live videos from iphone to Tv, when connected through a cable.
From ArsTechnica:
The MPTVOutWindow class allows your iPhone to send its video to a connected TV rather than to the built-in screen. Intended to be used with movies, the unpublished class creates a live video feed that is sent out through the iPhone’s connector port. End-users will need to buy a video adapter or cable to use this functionality.

Here we present Another external keyboard hack for iPhone, and this time its wireless. There must be a dire need for iPhone external keyboard as so many developments are happening around this.We leave you with picture and some description of the whole setup.
The setup starts with a cobbled together Xbox 360 Chatpad and XBee wireless module. The good doctor then takes a Jailbroken phone (naturally) and attaches another wireless XBee module to the iPhone’s jury-rigged serial port housed in an Akku enclosure. A work in progress, it will ultimately rely upon a VNC server running on the iPhone to feed keyboard input to any application of your choosing. See Apple, this is the corner of desperation that you’ve backed us into.
This is really amazing piece of news for all, who were having trouble handling the iPhone virtual keyboard.A iPhone owner jailbreaked his iPhone, and then wrote some code which will let the iPhone recognize external keyboard via a special cable.
Here is the pics of the iPhone keyboard :
Here is the video of external keyboard in action:
Amazing feat and kudos to the inventor, and Now we have to wait to for this technology in market, so that everyone can use it.
iPhone is not virus/bug proof, and it can be hacked resulting in loss of data or the iPhone itself. TherPiergiorgio Zambrini, the guy behind the ZiPhone unlocking tool, has came up with case study of sorts in which he runs a malicious video on iPhone which results crashing of iPhone.
Zambrini says he has done this to reveal the possible security lapses in the iPhone and reported to Apple as soon as he discovered this. Too bad there are so many security loopholes in iPhone which are left unattended by Apple
