People in India who are waiting to lay their hands on newly launched the N97 monster from Nokia, might have to wait around december 2010 to actually buy one. While talking to our source in Nokia, who is working on N97 design and is lucky enough to own one of few N97 released for testing, we got to know that N97 is still in its R&D stage and is pretty buggy as of now. So, N97 won’t be released anytime in near future for sure.

Even European countries and US might have to wait for around 6-7 months, to actually get their hands on a fully working model.

But as always really hope Nokia don’t delay the N97 so much, 12 months of wait seems pretty much.

India Gets 3G

Finally Indian Mobile users will be able to use 3G, in their mobile phone’s. State owned MTNL launched 3G Services in some parts of Delhi. MTNL plans to further expand the 3G network to Mumbai in about 2 months and then followed by Chennai.

MTNL is claiming by mid 2009 customers in major Indian cities will be able to surf at speeds of about 2Mbps on their smart phones.

So, what happens with iPhone 3G users, who are bounded by contract with either Airtel or Vodafone. Well, we also don’t know it yet, but one thing is sure, they should be trying hard to launch 3G services as soon as possible, if they don’t want to loose customers due to this.
