Although details are pretty sketchy at this point of time, but Wall Street Journal reports that Microsoft and Verizon are in talks to release a touchscreen-based multimedia phone which will extend the Windows Mobile OS with some additional software capabilities. And it will have Windows Marketplace integrated as well.
So can this be a “Zune Phone” finally coming to life after being just a rumor, well not sure as the WSJ report doesn’t mention the Zune device at all. Also the report mentions that the phone will be developed by 3rd party.
With Palm Pre coming releasing pretty soon and now this new mystery “Pink” phone might give the new gen iPhone a good fight after all . We just have to wait and watch.
Windows 6.5 was revealed in MWC 2009 and surely Microsoft has done some very appreciable changes to the whole UI and funtionality.
To be honest yes the changes are amazing but still it will have to do more to compete with iPhone OS and UI which is flawless . As this is not the final version and Microsoft is still working on it, we may see some more improvements and added features.
