More New Gen iPhone Camera Details Surfaces
New rumors are surfacing on the basis of a report by DigiTimes that Apple placed order with OmniVision to supply the 3.2-megapixel CMOS image sensors used in the smartphones and 5-megapixel CMOS image sensors for use in a unnamed product to be released later in 2009.
Seems like , camera upgrade on new iPhone is bound to happen and there is a buzz that Apple even start attaching camera’s to iPod Touch to make it more desirable. Although there is no comments from Apple on this, we will update you if anything more develops around this. But be assured iPhone is getting a new better camera

I already heard from my friend at apple that the camera upgrade is next to pointless. They’re still using the original low quality surface mount camera processing chip so although you get more pixels, the overall quality is still lousy.. pretty shabby for the cost.
