New iPhone 3.0 OS Features

Since the launch of iPhone 3.0 OS , developers are working pretty hard to discover as many features as they can. And now there are few more addition in the list as following.

Safari

New feature in Safari will let you close the last remaining browser page without having to make a new window.

Battery indicators

New battery indicators will show the battery value in form percentages “%” .

Push Notification Preferences

The settings control center in iPhone will have Push Notifications preference section where you will able to enable/disable the type of notifications you want to use from third parties. So, you may select from Sounds, Alerts and Badges which one to use and which not based on your battery limitation.

Data Detectors

Data detectors will enabled across the iPhone where it will detect the text like email addresses, phone numbers, and street addresses as soon as you type. And then it will also let you do the follow up action, like by clicking on email address will open the email window pane or while typing in notes if you happen to write a phone number it will detect it automatically, and let you either call or save the phone number in contact list based on your clicking.

Variable scrubber speeds

iPod application in iPhone will have four scrubbing options : Hi-Speed Scrubbing (normal slide position), Half Speed Scrubbing, Quarter Speed Scrubbing and Fine Scrubbing .

These are setting being discovered by developers and I am pretty sure that Apple is still hiding something big when the iPhone 3.0 officially get launched with a new gen iPhone .
