Yesterday we estimated the price of Xperia X1 in India to be around Rs 35,000 - Rs 40,000.
Well, we missed the exact price by Rs 4,500. Yes, Xperia X1 is launched in India with a insane price of Rs 44,500. Really with this price we don’t think X1 will be finding many customers, but Sony Ericsson already clarified that they are looking for premium customers for X1.
Great going Sony Ericsson, absolutely no lesson learned from iPhone debacle in India.

X1 price is definitely very high (& may not be worth). But comparing it with iphone, it is many times better in terms of feature & performance. Also endless applications are winmobile OS. but definitely price is the biggest contrain.
For me ipone has a constrain of features. even after if I make my mind to pay a hefty money to on iphone still basic feature missing & locked…..
X1 definitely better but buy after some time when the price drops
X1 is not for everybody, its intended for premium consumers according to Sony! and still there will be some people buying it in India no matter the price is.

Rs 44,500! Thats insane! Insanely cheap! When this phone released, i was the most ecstatic person on the whole of the world! Instead of buying a bike and food for my family, I have decided to buy the new SE Xperia 1 to give me that extra edge. Thanks SE, you’re the best! I am your number one fan!
Hang on guys, the prices will come down by atleast half of the current rate in the next 2 months max. buy the X1 then.i think around 25 - 30k is ok for the phone
anyway i have an I-phone which i bought 2 months back and trust me for me it sucks,
to hell with Apple

X1, i do understand that its for the premium costomers, but whats special feature does it have thats not in the Rs.30000 mobile’s in the market. but i do understand that there FEW people who will go for it still……..
all the so called premium customers will definitely go for it, and after 2-3 months prices will be reduced drastically, then they will target defiant customers like us . its all the same .definitely a plot to trap people
